EdUKaid has been supporting the provision of preprimary education in government schools since 2010. We provide regular inclusive, child-centred training to 31 Montessori teachers and teaching assistants working across 16 schools. 

 

Highlights

98% of children from EdUKaid supported pre-primary classes transition to primary school. This is because our preschools are supported through creative and locally made learning materials, are based on child-centred learning activities and are run by well trained teachers and assistants. 

97.5% of children scored top marks in literacy and maths assessments, which is higher than Mtwara regional average. 

33 children with disabilities transitioned to primary school, with some now attending a special needs unit supported by EdUKaid.
