Yasru joined EdUKaid in December 2018 as Extra Tuition teacher after completing his Bachelor Degree of Science with Education. His role included teaching students at evening and weekends at EdUKaid's Community Centre - providing secondary school children with additional lessons so that they improve their academic results.

In 2019, Yasru took on the role of Assistant Coordinator for EdUKaid's UK Aid funded Inclusive Education Project - improving access to education for children living with a disability or special educational needs. .

Since 2023, Yasru's time has been split between coordinating Community Centre activities and his role as Finance Officer.
